yougo is for teenagers but that doesn’t mean you’re immune from online nasties.
Personal attacks, harassment and threats can be common place on some sites but we don’t want any of that on yougo.
It might seem overbearing but we insist you don’t give out your email address, telephone number or halls of residence information in any of the community areas on the website.
If you’re going to share the details of your other social networking profiles, remember that they are likely to contain a lot of your personal information so we would advise that you avoided doing so.
If you want to swap contact details with another user, do so via the private message facility on your profile page. If you decide to meet up with someone, use your common sense. Tell a friend where you’re going and meet in a well lit, public place.
Some people are very impressionable so be careful before you post a picture of you and your mates up to no good.
We’ll remove anything that looks reckless.
yougo wants you to stay safe and wherever possible, sensible. Demonstrate a mature attitude to smoking, drinking, sex and drugs.
If anyone is posting obscene or upsetting posts/images, get in touch with the editors@yougofurther.co.uk immediately.
Let us know if someone’s sharing inappropriate links.
If you think that someone’s threatening the kind of violence likely to cause harm or disruption get in touch immediately. We’ll take the necessary action.
